In Dutch there are 3 values for newborns to live by: Rust, Regelmaat, Reinheid – the three R’s. They translate as ‘rest’, ‘routine’ and ‘cleanliness’ (unfortunately I was unable to find a word starting with an ‘r’ for ‘cleanliness’). It all makes sense; for a newborn and a new mum (!) to thrive you want to have a calm environment, to have a routine and to make sure that all is clean. The last thing you would want to do is to pack up your baby and go to a studio to have your newborn’s photos taken, after you have only arrived home from the hospital.
Have your photographer coming to your house instead: no logistics, no time wasted packing and driving to the studio, no worrying about the bottles and the 1000 other things to bring, no disruption to the bit of routine that you might already have in place, do I need to go on?
I love to come to your house and set up in your home. I want you to be as comfortable as possible. I might need your help when your baby needs feeding. Other than that I want it to be a very positive and special experience for the whole family. I have been in your position three times and I know how overwhelming the first few weeks can be (even if you have had a baby before). I believe you need all the support you can get and I’d be very happy to contribute my little bit. For more information visit: https://family.janssen-photography.ie/
